Marc James Griffith –  CEO/President

Mr. Griffith, founded Origin in 2008. He currently serves as CEO/President. Mr. Griffith brings over 30 years of experience in business development, product management, sales, marketing, engineering, and staff development to Origin.

Mr. Griffith concurrently serves as CEO of Iron Image, an Emmy Award winning media company based in Los Angeles. As co-founder of the company, Mr. Griffith has produced numerous films and documentaries on the topic of clean alternative energy and has received numerous awards including a prestigious Emmy Award in 2000 for the PBS film “Renewable Power: Earth’s Clean Energy Destiny. Over the years with Iron Image, Mr. Griffith has worked closely with industry leaders including NASA, The Department of Energy, The California Fuel-Cell Partnership, Stanford Research Institute and Honda on numerous fuel-cell and hydrogen safety related programs.

Mr.Griffith received his undergraduate education at Pasadena College, University of California, Los Angeles, and University of Southern California. He is married, has three children, and resides in Ventura County, California.

Mack W. Knobbe – CTO

Mack W. Knobbe is a fuel cell industry veteran with 19 years of experience working with state-of-the-art fuel cell technology. His work with PEM fuel cells, hybrid power systems, and hydrogen-generation technologies has led to the successful development and commercialization of 11 leading fuel cell power products.

 

In addition to leading the technology development at Origin, Mr. Knobbe is also working on programs to reduce the environmental impact of oil recovery by eliminating wellhead emissions and promoting the use of green chemicals.

 

Mr. Knobbe has previously held executive and leadership positions at SiGNa Chemistry, Intelligent Energy, Jadoo Power System, and TVN Systems. He has served as principal investigator and technical lead on multiple DOD programs for development of hybrid fuel cell and chemical hydrogen-generation systems. Mr. Knobbe received a B.Sc. and an M.Sc in Chemical Engineering, and an MBA from the University of Kansas.
